When The Night Closes In

There is a magical time of day when the sun has set, and the city lights start to glow against the waning light of day. The city streets and buildings look like sparkling jewels from a mile and half above Manhattan. We oftentimes think of New York as this over stimulating assault on the senses at street level. Speed, sound, smells, people...these are all contributing elements to the complete New York experience. This doesn't ring true when you're above New York. Evening and night in New York is the one time when you can see the movements of New York. It is an incredible way to witness the sleeplessness of New York.
