After attending the GAA All-Ireland hurling semi-final in Tipperary, Bill Murray walked into Charlie Malone’s Bar in Limerick. The bar owner Paddy Kelly said, “We were stunned to see him walk in. People were doing double takes. There were a group of Spanish people who didn’t believe it was him.
"Phil Aherne, a musician who often plays with Bono and Glen Hansard also happened to be in the pub. There were a few other guitar players and a sing-song started. (Bill) was so warm and friendly and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He drank a pint of Kilkenny while he sang a rendition of ‘The Star of the County Down’ with the band, even taking on an Irish accent for his favorite verse."
