Del espoused a core tenet of improvisational comedy called "Yes and..." which suggests that an actor should accept what other participants have stated, encouraging people to listen and be receptive to the ideas of others.
Bill has immersed his life in "yes," claiming it keeps him "awake." Bill added, “Every now and then Del also experimented with 'no' - only and always 'no.'"
