If you're familiar with literature, then you may be familiar with the 12 Stages of the Hero's Journey. Step six of the Hero’s Journey – Test, Allies, and Enemies – marks the beginning of the second act. Building on everything that has come before, the protagonist should be challenged, putting their new abilities and knowledge to the test. "Bubblicious" is the third piece in this collection, and it truly is an artwork that lives up to its name. The candy-colored bubbles drum up memories of when my parents would drag me into Shriver's to buy salt water taffy in Ocean City, NJ, as a child.
