The west coast of New Zealand is rugged and wild, where the galactic core sets over the western horizon late in the milky-way season.
Imagine it, the dead silence of night, with only the sound of the crashing waves against the distant shoreline. Looking up, you see stars sparkling as far as the eye can see and with Venus setting like the moon as the milky-way glides through a cloudless sky above.
Born and raised on the west coast, this is where I have felt home most of my life. The solitude of night in one of the most amazing locations around Auckland is as cathartic as they come!
I am addicted to finding starry scenes like this and I am continually searching for this starry magic.
