Castle Under The Stars

Corfe Castle is another iconic British landmark in Dorset, a 10th century castle that was damaged and besieged twice during the English Civil War but ultimately survived. I had been planning this shot for a while, wanting to fill the frame with beautiful nebulae, planets and stars of the night sky all positioned above the castle. This image didn’t disappoint with the Eagle, Lagoon, Swan and Trifid Nebula looking stunning in the night sky. As well as the planet Saturn shining brightly in the centre.
