Dark Wave

Image shot on the Basque coast, South West of France. What I like about shooting the ocean is that it’s never the same. It’s always in motion. Elements change constantly — the tide, wind and the waves. You can never get tired of it. I like finding myself alone in the face of the expanse of the landscape, I like being in contemplation. When conditions are ideal, I observe the environment, watching where the waves crash. It’s good when the wind is coming from inland. That creates ripples that are lifted on the surface of the waves.
