In the constellation of Monoceros, lies the Rosette Nebula, but I like to call it the Skull Nebula as once you see the eye socket and nose it's hard to see anything but a skull from that point on.
It is an area of incredibly strong emission nebulae, particularly in Hydrogen Alpha (red) and Oxygen III (blue) mixing within the structure are areas of dust which block the light behind giving wonderful contrast between light and dark mixing with the red/blue colour contrast. It's a beautiful frame to ponder over.
Added to the scene are stars taken in natural colour RGB, which add a beautiful splash of yellow, orange and blue throughout the gas cloud.
