Heart of the Swan

Cygnus is the focus of the Northern Milky Way, a constellation dominated by Hydrogen gas in vast quantities, creating patterns and hues that I can gave at for hours. This image shows the very center of the constellation with the bright Sadr burning bottom left and the Butterfly Nebula beneath it. To the upper left is the Crescent Nebula, an area of strong Hydrogen and Oxygen gas emission.
