The Series “Voices” are portraits of so-called “ordinary” people who live unnoticed and selfless in faith and service to others. It portrays domestic workers from wealthy Cape Town suburbs. Not only do these women and men make a life for their employers easier, but their work continues in their own homes, where they carry on roles of mothers/fathers, wives/husbands, caregivers, and pillars of their communities. Having no certainty about the next day, they find strength in faith and take their hard life with patience and acceptance. These are not ordinary people - these are Everyday Saints.
