The smell fills the air, creating a heady and stimulating mix. The coffee is served hot and sweet, and the first sip is always the most satisfying. *Jebena/جبنة is traditional Sudanese coffee. Dark roast coffee is boiled with a traditional mix of spices and water to create a very rich and thick drink. Usually it is presented in a tray that carries cups, sugar and a Mubkhar (incense burner) with burning coal and bakhoor** to complement the fragrance of the coffee.
