It was a cold, wet morning under the FDR Drive in New York City in March of 2021. Still, not many people were leaving their houses due to the pandemic. I remember walking up onto this scene and watching this fisherman standing there staring off into Brooklyn while waiting for one of his lines to get a bite. I stood there myself watching, wondering what he was thinking or even how long he had been there. It was all surreal for a moment while realizing the determination to provide during troubling times.
