This is the third in a short series of works riffing on the idea of "skyships" floating above fantastical landscapes. This concept has been a part of my oeuvre since 1965 when I used spray paint to create the image of a three-masted galleon floating in the clouds for the senior prom murals. The concept was probably decided upon by the Senior Council, but it came on the heels of my reading the entire series of books by Edgar Rice Burroughs about John Carter, Warlord of Mars, in which such modes of transportation sometimes played a role.
