Plantationocene - Lament I

Summer 2021 left behind the greatest ecological disaster in the history of Greece. More than 650.000 acres were burned down to ashes. The Greek Government announced proudly that "We thankfully didn't mourn any victims". This couldn't be further from truth. Each established regime first defines the characteristics of the human it will serve. Similar to how in the past, tribes of indigenous people in the Amazon forest were treated as "collateral damage". This work is based on an old Greek traditional lament song "Why Bird aren't you singing? - How can I sing? They cut my wings, they took my voice".
