New Financial Transactions, NFTs are a new way to invest on cryptocurrency, to speculate or to collect art. Auction houses did not missed the rendez-vous with this new form of art and this new way of making money. The Oct. 1, 2021 auction marked the first time Christie’s live bidding in cryptocurrency instead of the usual local currency. The auction was on Curio Cards, commonly viewed as the first digital art collectible on the Ethereum blockchain. The bids placed in ETH point to a new milestone as Christie’s descends down the NFT crypto rabbit hole.
