Les Bas-fonds d'Annecy

“Sit in reverie and watch the changing color of the waves that break upon the idle seashore of the mind.” -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. In French, "bas-fonds" means either the « shallows » or «  low town ». Following « La baigneuse d'Annecy » we now see the diver entering a new part of her quiet surreal journey. As a kid in the streets of Annecy, I always had that very picture in my mind. This moment of eternity is part dreaming, part transcendence. This piece was modeled in 3d based on personal photos of Annecy, rendered in octane and then painted over in photoshop and procreate.
