The Evening Trip

I created this piece in March of 2020, just at the start of the pandemic. At the time I was noticing alot of online videos meant to relax the viewer, things like meditation music and tranquil landscapes, and these videos got me wishing for a place that did not exist. So I created one. The Evening Trip is meant to allow the viewer a sense of serene escapism into a virtual world. We get to spend time with the Sightseer, taking in a vibrant and otherworldly place, helping us to recharge and reheal, if only for a little while. Meanwhile, the presence of Schrödinger, the glitch cat, reminds us that this place does not exist in time. It is unreal and yet still wholly ours. Even when we are stuc...View all
