Most fairies live in hollow hills or in an underground country where the summer never ends, and the Garden of Fairies is no different. By tradition, the best times for seeing fairies are twilight and midnight when the moon is full. It is sometimes said that fairies are seen only in the twinkling of an eye, or between the blinking of the next, though for fairies themselves a single second is long enough for a myriad of things to happen. Visitors to the garden have a completely opposite experience which feels like merely minutes or hours have passed; only to find they’ve woken up years later.
