Vigil

The year of trials, tribulations, and tragedies calls those of us who dream of better tomorrows to hold vigils, periods of intentional wakefulness, not just to mourn and remember, but also to strive to keep anachronistic oppressors from successfully bending our already flawed world even further to their hateful will, and to find the ways of bringing our hoped for utopias one step or few closer to becoming everyone's lived reality.
