Camouflage

In an increasingly connected world, we must be a show-person, a celebrity, a star to rise above the crowd and be seen. We create an online persona that presents only those facets of our true personality that we wish to show to the world. By comparison, in the physical world, we blend in, we conform, we are not a star. This artwork, with textures created by paint strokes, is highly suggestive of a physical realm genesis but exists as a digital expression. It portrays the faceless reality we project in the physical world living camouflaged amongst others. The nondescript grey tones which frame this piece are suggestive of this neutral existence.
