Europe is much more than its geographical borders. Actually is more than a certain number of members states, it is a mindset with a strong set of values, like peace, freedom, solidarity, tolerance and democracy. Noam Chomsky, asks the essential question whether democracy and inherent freedom are values to be preserved or threats to be avoided ? He replies, "in this possibly terminal phase of human existence, democracy and freedom are more than values to be treasured, they may well be essential to survival."
