Sentient is a lost AI on a dead planet who is trying to re-colonize organic life using recycled moisture in its core processors but the mission for colonization failed because the plants don’t produce enough oxygen to create a veritable cycle of growth and rebirth. So the AI is left in a constant pattern of its programmed beliefs not satisfying the demands of physical reality but not knowing anything beyond that. So it rests, suspended in air, tending to the plant that it doesn’t know will never be enough.
