Blockchain technology dates back to the economic downturn in 2007, when the world was suffering from poor central bank management. Many banks were already in debt and minting excess paper money, driving up inflation rates around the world. Satoshi Nakamoto created a digital currency, BTC, as a remedy ( Plan B ). This currency is designed to solve this problem and avoid such errors because it is fully decentralized. Nakamoto also made his source code an open resource for other developers to create similar innovations and fix the problems with banks.
