The Blue Lotus or Egyptian Dream Flower symbolizes the sun as it dives down into the depth and darkness at night, and then rises each day with the sun, its yellow center reflecting back the sun's rays like a mirror. 3500 years ago ancient Egyptians discovered the blue lotus had psychedelic properties in the petals, and they added the petals to wine. In Egyptian culture the blue lotus represents life, immortality, and resurrection. In Buddhism, the blue lotus symbolizes the victory of spirit over the senses, and the triumph of wisdom over suffering.
