Head for gas or towards a possible photogenic storm with only 70 miles until empty? The decision was easy for a risk-taking storm chaser, and luckily gas was 67 miles in the direction I needed to go. After arriving at the storm, rain chased me away within minutes. The only option was north towards gas. To my surprise, light started to shine from the western horizon. I quickly slammed on the brakes, and ran to the fence to set up, just in time for a beautiful rainbow. With a flash and a clap of thunder a bolt graced my lens. Within moments the rainbow was gone.
