Whilst the Earth rotates at over 1,000 miles per hour, time is frozen on this solitary beach captured from above. Walking in different directions along the pier, two people have chosen different destinations; perhaps once together but now apart. From a distance the scene is observed with sadness by a lonely passerby wandering along the beach in search of happiness. This image was taken on the Western coast of Australia, in August 2022. Rockingham has stunning beaches where dolphins are regularly seen playing and jumping in the water.
