The Three Fates

In Greek mythology, the three Fates were known as the Moirai. They were responsible for spinning, measuring, and cutting the thread of life for every mortal. They were often depicted as old women, and their names were Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. Clotho was the spinner, who spun the thread of life. Lachesis was the measurer, who determined the length of the thread of life. Atropos was the cutter, who ended the thread of life. Together, they controlled the destiny of every being in the universe, from birth to death. The Fates were considered to be powerful and unchangeable, and their presence in the universe was a reminder of the beauty and mystery of existence.
