A few million years into the future, in a colony of just over a billion inhabitants, humans are thriving on their massive spacecraft, Nergal, while orbiting a dying red dwarf star. Powered by an advanced fusion reactor, it provides the colonists with self-sustaining resources, including food, water, and energy. It took millennia for the Nergalians to get to today's diverse society & robust economy.
