Elvis at the Tucson Studio

I loved living and creating in Tucson. Elvis loved it too. A family of feral Javelina slept on the porch at night with an occasional Gila Monster for good measure. Each morning I would step out on the porch, tiptoeing to the patio table with my coffee and breakfast in hand. One by one the Javelina would stretch, get a big drink of water and head back into the Catalina Mountains. We gave each other space, the Javelina and I, but I was always aware things could go terribly wrong in any given moment. I go back to Tucson several times a year. The desert is always calling.
