Lines of Red Samurai

As lines of White reform in the east, they gather to claim territory. However lines of Red Samurai descend into their path. Inspired by traditional Japanese painting, the Art of War this piece is part of a body of work that explores forms as functioning characters. I see LINES as the characters, and protagonists that BATTLE against each other for the right to have what they need... everything. Pigment, ink on paper & digital mixed media. 2022
