growing up, I was always told to follow religion blindly. I always had this resistance against following something I have no idea about. I always asked the necessary questions... little did I know that curiosity itself would be looked at as heresy and blasphemy, something my family had gone to trial for, coming back to haunt me.
Due to the misfortunes the Islamic system brought down on my family, my views have forever been obstructed. I see the system as one that is comfortable with the past and does not want to move forward. A system built on corrupt leaders and services.
