Helen was a married woman when she met Paris, the handsome, charming prince of Troy. Aphrodite proclaimed Helen as the most beautiful in the world and Paris decided he had to have her. Helen and Paris ran off together, setting in motion the decade-long Trojan War.
According to myth, Helen was the daughter of Queen Leda and the God Zeus, who transformed into a swan to seduce the queen.
She will forever be known as "the face that launched a thousand ships."
