NEREID

On the brightest moonlit nights, graceful silhouettes of sea goddesses appear on the seashore; today they brought their holiday to the islanders, temptingly beckoning into the sea and bathing in the moonlight. They don’t care about what happens on earth, the nymphs patronize only sea creatures. Personifying the sea elements, they flirt with tired sailors and enchant with their charm. When the sea is especially turbulent, this means that the nereids today are merrily celebrating creating excitement on the sea surface and their songs are loudly heard in the bowels of the sea depths.
