As lines of White form a beachhead in the East, they gather & rise in exaltation. The claim for territory is over... Later, that night, lines of Reds strike in a surprise attack... Inspired by traditional Japanese painting, the Art of War this piece is part of a body of work that explores forms as functioning characters. I see LINES as the characters, and protagonists that BATTLE against each other for the right to have what they need... everything.
