The six equestrian sportsmen and women carried themselves up the stairs to find rest on the right hand side, facing towards the front of the bus. It was all very new to them this public transport. No more than three could realistically and traditionally atop a horse, that's why carts had been such a great invention in their recent times. But buses were bright, shiny, plastic and cold to touch and had wonderful images on the side depicting some sort of performers in costume that left them puzzled to say the least.
