Kiku visits a healthy, dynamic, growing coral reef off the coast of Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean. Coral reefs are dynamic, living spaces that act as a nursery ground and shelter for marine organisms. They are crucial in protecting coastal beaches, cities and communities from the impact of storms, erosion and flooding.
