Lourdes

Lourdes was born into a family of farmers in the vast expanse of Europe. She never traveled outside of their family farm. Every day she walked in the wheat fields. There was an old scarecrow not far from their house to keep the crows from eating the wheat crop. Lourdes was very afraid of this scarecrow, for the scarecrow stood just opposite the window of Lourdes' room. Lourdes used to throw stones at the scarecrow every time she walked in the fields during the day. One day she hit the scarecrow right in the head with a stone, and the covering was torn off.
