Final Voyage

Born of steel in the shipyards of Norway in 1912 and now beached at the Westfjords of Iceland, the former whaling ship Garðar BA 64 sits idle in the sand and grass, waiting out her last days as a curiosity to passersby and visitors from afar. Part of the three-piece genesis series “Of Ships and Clouds”, this 1/1 piece by Trent North is an original infrared photo captured in the 590 nm wavelength spectrum and finished in a false-color scheme.
