Sistro - Track #9

'Sistro' is the first album by Sistro, an informal collective from Porto comprised of Oficinas TK + Nuno O and Tito Frito from Favela Discos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favela_Discos) The album was recorded over a two-day improvisation session (code-named the 'Arménio Sessions') in September 2019, resorting to noise, electronica, electro-acoustics and local field recordings. The raw video material was created on a vintage video mixer using feedback loops. Then, in a process Mario Klingemann calls "Neural Edit," an AI algorithm automatically created the edit by trying to match scenes from the raw material to the sound.
