Before the beast’s decline and the dawn of the age of man, elysia was covered in trees, lush and verdant, which provided shelter and fruit for the animals. The world was far less chaotic then, the wyrm’s presence a mere seed in the belly of the earth. But this seed too grew into a tree, bearing dark, sweet fruit which in turn bore more seeds. Even after the beast had created the vast elysian desert and man built the city of Azarath, the tree still grew. Deep in the desert on the sandy foothills of the outer realms, born from the dark chaos of the wyrm, the tree’s dark fruit calls.
