Simulation-for-composition has been a long-running theme in my practice. Rooted in Suprematism and the bold purity of pleasantly arranged simple forms, the system is able to push the boundary of collective balance.
These sketches investigate simplicity-of-system, celebrating the complex results that emerge from simple ideas. Black Square—a nod toward a great pioneer—highlights this emergence, where 100,000 simple squares find equilibrium in fascinating ways.
