In the depths of my slumber, I dream of a man who's not there. Standing waist deep in a stream, Staring at the sun with a vacant stare. He whispers softly to me, Of the beach where we'll one day go. And we'll walk together hand in hand, As the sea waves ebb and flow. In this dream within a dream, Time stands still and the world is still. My great-grandfather's by my side, And everything is at peace and tranquil. But as I wake from my peaceful slumber, I realize that he's no longer there.
