The beast that hides in shadows deep Bides its timing, as it sweeps Through night's dark realm while mankind sleeps; Stealing strength as it quietly creeps.
 The monster stalks its prey with care, Waiting for the perfect snare; Striking suddenly, its victim is caught unaware As its dreams transform into a nightmare. Like butterfly whose flitting flight Can cause a storm with all its might; So too, may whispers soft and light Unleash a deadly force in spite.
 For words that slip and slide away Can ripple out and change the day; And so we must be careful, say — In what we speak and how we play.
