the beast

The beast had evolved from a long lineage of apex beings, revered as being the greatest and most powerful creature in all of elysia before the days of man. He was filled with the gift of wisdom, knowing of the angels and their divine order and plans. He was also filled with pure heart, leading him to temptation and desire by the wyrm. He operated at a higher level than the pure instinct that had filled so many of the creatures who came before him, the first being tortured with the burden of consciousness.
