Edie of the Calliope

Seven years ago, all life on the planet Threst was extinguished in a series of terrible natural disasters. Six years ago, Edie was born aboard the space station Calliope, orbiting the molten ruins of the planet. Five years ago, a Leviathan shard passed unnoticed through the hull of the station and bonded to the infant girl. Her powers are not fully understood, though she appears to be able to defy several physical laws most scientists would consider immutable.
