Created in 2021, CERTIFIED PUNK! boasts an avatar-like being throwing up an Ethereum sign on a graffitied, garbage-laced street. The being kicks an old PC, which glitches out & displays a popular Twitter hashtag — #HODL, known to the Web 3.0 community as holding cryptocurrency and NFTs, rather than selling them. Stickers that picture a handful of CryptoPunks line the street, the holders of which were popular on Twitter at the time of creation. The retro PC signifies a simpler time of Web 1.0, which has some significant qualities in common with the current Web 3.0 space: freedom, agency, & anonymity.
