Segmented Portraits were initially developed as a challenge to myself, to capture the essence of my subjects via different sections of their bodies. The collection has grown and I’ve decided to release it as a randomized collectible NFT series with unique functionality to interactively experience these sections and portraits. The masquerade Jab Jab is a reenactment by the enslaved showing their retaliation against their captivators or slave masters whom they blamed for decades of suffering. Jab Jab is a very deep part of the culture of my home country Grenada. I wanted to do a tribute to that.
