The Day's Requiem

At the end of intense and busy days, Nature often cues us in to the calm with hints of beauty offered all around us if we just pause and give notice. This evening on Cannon Beach was one of those cues. Only an hour before, the beach was bustling with activity—games of frisbee, constructions of castles and dogs living the best days of their lives. But once the sun set low on the horizon, a welcome silence engulfed the area like a heavy haze.
