Lake Chelan, the third deepest lake in the US, is 55 miles long. This photo was captured at the northernmost part of the lake near the remote town of Stehekin, Washington on a quiet and calm morning. This view with the lake's reflection focuses the viewer's eye to the center of the valley carved centuries ago by immense glaciers. The bones of a long-dead tree have happily taken up a residence of solitude near the focal point.
