"ATEH" is my visual interpretation of the central character of "Dictionary of the Khazars", one of the most mystical works in the XX century - a novel by the Serbian writer Milorad Pavic.
The Khazar princess Ateh is a focal point of the cosmic and magical origin of human nature. She becomes a leader of the "dreams catchers" sect, participants of which can enter into other people's dreams, travel in time through the dreams of people of different eras in the past, present and future.
The crystal lattice of the dress, as a self-contained artistic plane, personifies the transition from the rational awake to the mystical, dream expanse.
And a spectator is transferred there after the bark-sleeve...
